Youth Ministry

Youth Ministry

Auburn UMC’s Youth Ministry exists to lift up Jesus. It is our mission to build a Christ-centered community that makes and equips disciples to impact their world. We offer a wide variety of activities including worship, biblical teaching, small groups, mission projects, and annual retreats.

Our Core Values | Colossians 3:1-3

“Since, then, you have been raised with Christ, set your hearts on things above, where Christ is, seated at the right hand of God. Set your minds on things above, not on earthly things. For you died, and your life is now hidden with Christ in God.”

This summer, Auburn UMC Youth welcomes all students in rising grades 7-12 and college freshman. Students are always invited and encouraged to bring a friend! The Youth Center is located in the Epworth Building at 137 South Gay Street in downtown Auburn.

Happening Now in Youth Ministry

Youth Sunday School

Sunday School meets at 9:45 am. Join us in the Youth Room (C179) at 9:15 for snacks, and hanging out, then a Bible lesson.

Summer Midweek/Tour of Pools

During the summer our Midweek is Tour of Pools on Wednesdays, 4-8pm. Our first Tour of Pools will be June 7. We will meet at different pools around town each week and spend time swimming, eating pizza for dinner (we provide the food and drinks), and hanging out.

Would you have a pool in your backyard or neighborhood that could be reserved on a Wednesday night this summer? Please contact Lindsey at lindseym@aumc.net and let her know if we could have a pool night in your backyard pool or at your neighborhood pool.

Midweek/Tour of Pools dates are Wednesdays in June and July, except for June 21 (M25) and July 19 (Sweat Week).

M25 Atlanta Youth Mission Trip

M25 is open to students in rising grades 8 through college freshman and is a mission camp designed to bring students together to serve God by serving people who are experiencing homelessness in Atlanta. This mission trip will be June 18-23 and the trip focuses less on manual labor and more on relational ministry. Registration forms are available in the Youth Center. Space is limited for M25, and registration will close on Sunday, May 7. If you or your student would like more information about M25, please contact Lindsey at lindseym@aumc.net.

Sweat Week 2023

Sweat Week is a week-long, in-town mission camp open to students in rising grades 7 through 12. Students spend their days doing various local service projects and spend the night at the church. We also enjoy worship, games, and fellowship together each night. Sweat Week 2023 will be July 16-21. Registration for Sweat Week will open soon. The mission camp is Sunday night – Thursday morning, with an optional lock-in and rafting trip that is Thursday morning – Friday morning. If you or your student would like more information about Sweat Week, please contact Lindsey at lindseym@aumc.net.
