Missions and Outreach are very important components to Auburn UMC. Our mission is to glorify God by being obedient to His personal call on our lives to care for the poor and make disciples of all nations. We do this just beyond our doors and far beyond our borders. Each of us has individual gifts and callings. Missions gives us a framework to put those gifts into action. We believe all of us are called to join Christ’s mission in some way. BEYOND exists to help you answer that call in a tangible way in your life. We invite you to discover your place within this ministry.

Costa Rica 2020

Join an intergenerational team of up to 20 missioners as we return to Palmares, Costa Rica in 2020! We are continuing our partnership with Cristo Vive Methodist Church and would love to have you with us. You’ll serve primarily through construction of a sanctuary / multi-purpose community center. You can also be in ministry with children through Bible school and with Nicaraguan refugees through humanitarian relief. This team with have opportunities to tour a coffee plantation and have fun on a special recreational excursion. This is a great experience for all ages, especially for those who have never served internationally before. *If this team fills up, you may be able to join a team serving the following week (June 8-June 13/14) from Spanish Fort UMC if enough people are interested in doing this.
