Joining the Congregation

If you have been visiting Auburn United Methodist Church and are interested in becoming a member, we would love to encourage you to do so! We feel there are so many blessings waiting for you as you choose to get connected to our church. Being a member of Auburn UMC is like being a member of a warm, close-knit family. There are many opportunities to build friendships and grow in your faith with others who are pursuing Christ.

If you are a new believer, you will join by what we call Profession of Faith. If you have not been previously baptized, this will include a service of baptism. As someone new to the Christian faith, we encourage you to join our church so that you can be surrounded by a support network of other believers.

If you are already a member of another congregation and wish to move your membership to Auburn UMC, you may do so as well. As a United Methodist Church, we accept baptisms from all Christian churches. Contact Kelli Hitchman-Craig, our Director of Hospitality and Assimilation, and she will explain the process by which you can transfer your membership to Auburn UMC.

If you have any questions about faith in Christ, about United Methodism in general, or would like more information or a tour of Auburn United Methodist Church, please contact Kelli. We also invite you to participate in our EMBARK class for information about Methodism and Auburn UMC.

Contact Kelli Hitchman-Craig, Director of Hospitality & Assimilation, for visitors and new members at 334-826-8800 ext 240 or Katharine Manley, Assistant to Senior Minister, at 334-826-8800 ext 222.
