We are excited to invite our youth girls, 7th-12th grade, to a “Waves Girls Night” on Saturday, August 26 from 4-7 p.m. in the AUMC youth center. The cost of the event will be $10 at the door! As another school year begins, we want to encourage and empower our girls not just to be in the middle of the waves, but to make waves for Christ!
“You make me brave; you call me out beyond the shore into the waves.” This line from Bethel music’s song, “You make me brave”, reminds us to go out into the waves and storms of life, and as another school year begins, we know that the waves of life are approaching. We want to encourage and empower our girls to not just be in the middle of the waves, but to make waves for Christ in their homes, communities, and world!
The Waves Girls Night will begin with the Waves Ministry team (learn more about them here) bringing worship and messages on our identity in Christ and our calling as girls and women in the church. The service will be followed by dinner and fellowship time. We want our girls to know their identity comes from Christ and we want to empower them to make waves for him!.
If you plan to attend, please RSVP by August 17 through the form below, and don’t forget to bring $10 at the door!
