What can we learn from the early church about being faithful disciples of Jesus Christ in the midst of our modern world? (If time permits, it would be helpful to read the book of Acts prior to the study.) No book required.

Covenant Bible Study:  Trusting the Covenant (8-week)

This Bible study emphasizes the biblical concept of covenant,a unifying theme through the Bible. This module explores the loss of hope, how it is restored by faithfulness in the midst of suffering, and how faithful love is at work restoring wholeness to our lives. 30 min. of daily reading. Cost: $22

The Book of Acts: Genesis to Revelation series (6-week)

This study of Acts begins with the mission to the world and ends with Paul’s journey to Rome.

Major themes include: a Gospel that cannot be contained, divine initiative and human responsibility,

the subtle work of the Holy Spirit, and its message for today. Cost: $14

When Helping Hurts (10-week )

Whether you’re involved in short-term missions or the long-term empowerment of the poor, this book helps you understand how to humbly and effectively serve, realizing that it requires repentance and the realization of our own brokenness. This study articulates a biblically based framework concerning the root causes of poverty and its alleviation. All are invited to Communion meditation in the AUMC
