Joining the Congregation of AUMC
Welcome to the family!
If you have been visiting AUMC and are interested in becoming a member, we would love to encourage you to do so! We feel there are so many blessings waiting for you as you choose to get more connected to our church. Being a member of AUMC is like being a member of a warm, close-knit family. There are many opportunities to build friendships and grow in your faith with others who are pursuing Christ.
There are two ways to become a member of AUMC. If you are a new believer, you will join by what we call Profession of Faith. As someone new to the Christian faith, we encourage you to join our church so that you can be surrounded by a support network of other believers. If you are already a member of another congregation and wish to switch your membership to AUMC, you may do so as well. We do ask that you contact your former congregation to let them know of your change (just a way to help their records stay current!)
If you are not yet a believer, or not sure about becoming one, we encourage you to talk to one of our pastors or program staff members. We will be happy to help you understand what we believe and why. We know you have questions, and we’d love to help you find the answers!
