Youth Ministries

We want every parent to know that your student's spiritual growth is our top priority at Vertical Ministries. We take great steps to ensure a safe, secure environment, where students may discover the truth in Jesus Christ. Our hope is that they connect and grow deeper in their walk with Christ.

There are many ways you as a parent can get involved in supporting the spiritual growth of your student each week. We need help serving as a relationship builder at MYF, leading a Sunday morning small group or mid week D-group, helping serve dinner, going on a retreat, and much more. There is no more important work than that of raising up committed, bold student leaders of the faith and you are critical in that equation. Please begin by spending a moment each day in prayer for this ministry. Contact the Vertical Ministries office if you have any questions, or are considering volunteering to change the life of young people for Jesus!

We exist to glorify Christ by making disciples. We desire to equip students with Biblical teaching and training to impact the world for Christ. We are a family based ministry that is designed to serve both students and parents as they pursue a deeper love for Christ. While we hope God uses this ministry to impact your students, we know that your role as parents in your child’s life is irreplaceable. Therefore we want to keep you connected. Below is a list describing the different parts of our ministry and their purpose.

D-Groups (Discipleship Groups)

These are gender and grade specific small groups that are designed to guide students to a deeper, more passionate relationship with Christ. Each group consists of one or two adult/college leaders and 10-12 students. The goal of each group is for the students to experience the love of Christ as the leaders take them through the Word of God and live out an example of what that looks like in today’s world.

MYF

This is an opportunity for your students to engage in fellowship, worship, Biblical teaching, and fun. It is an exciting environment geared towards challenging students to actively pursue more in their relationship with Christ. The goal in this is to love, challenge, and move students into action.

Sunday School

The goal of our Sunday School is to provide students with Biblical teaching that is relevant and practical to their circumstances. We desire to encourage students towards a greater understanding of the Word of God so that they can apply it to their lives and continue to become more like Christ.
