How can you get involved?
The AUMC College Ministry has a variety of activities going on all the time, in addition to the church worship services. We invite you to get connected by joining us for Sunday school, Freshman Bible study, small group Bible studies, service projects and our DIVE college worship service. Just check out the links on the left hand side of this page to learn more about these ministries.
Where are we located?
AUMC is located a block from Toomer's Corner at the intersection of Gay Street and Magnolia Avenue. The College Ministry room is in the Ministry Annex, which is on Magnolia Avenue next to our main Sanctuary. This is where we meet for Sunday school, Bible studies, etc. Our DIVE worship service, as well as the church's Resonate service, meet in the Fellowship Hall of the Epworth Center (the white entrance across from Burger King on Gay Street).
What do we believe?
We believe in the foundations of the Christian orthodox faith. Everyone has sinned. Sin has earned us death/ eternal separation from God. Jesus took what we earned (death) upon Himself as our substitute. He bore our wrath for us! God made Him who knew no sin to become sin on our behalf so we might become the righteousness of God! Wow! If we place our faith in Jesus Christ, we can have eternal life. Salvation is found in no one else but Jesus Christ because He is the only One who could have paid the proper price.
We believe that all scripture is God-breathed inspired and the primary way God has chosen to reveal himself to people today.
We also believe God has called each of us as Christians to be Christ to the world around us. We are called to share Jesus with the outside world and we’re called to love God and others above all else. We also believe Its hard to grow in isolation, and Jesus has called us to love, serve, help, and grow together in a community.
