Scouting at AUMC

Cub Scouts
Cub Scouts and Boy Scouts in our area are served by the Saugahatchee District of the Chattahoochee Council www.chattahoochee-bsa.org, which is based in Columbus, Georgia.
Boys can register as a Cub Scout upon entering the first grade, and be ages six or seven. Cub Scouting allows youth to work in a family-centered program while learning new skills and gradually working more independently with adult leaders as they progress.
AUMC sponsors Cub Scout Pack 29 pack29auburn.com. Cub Scout Pack 29 is starting its 51st year of impacting young men's lives through personal and spiritual growth, and AUMC is proud to be its charter organization! Through our active boys, active parents, and active leaders we maintain a fun, safe environment that teaches our scouts the values and morals they need to become outstanding citizens in our community and nation. To learn more about joining the pack, contact Cubmaster Rob Stanford at robstan@mac.com or (334) 821-1455. Information about the local Cub Scouting program, and links to other area Cub Scout packs, can be found at www.saugahatchee.org.
Boy Scouts
Boys in the sixth through 12th grades (11 to 17-years-old) can join Boy Scouts. More than 150 awards of various kinds helping to develop character, instill leadership and identify a future vocation — all leading to the rank of Eagle Scout — await boys wishing to be a Boy Scout.
AUMC sponsors Boy Scout Troop 29. To learn more about joining the troop, contact Scoutmaster Rodney Greer at rgreer@auburn.edu or 334-707-6320. Information about the local Boy Scouting program, and links to other area Boy Scout troops, can be found at www.saugahatchee.org.
