United Methodist Women
Designed to serve women, youth, and children around the world through the support of missions, UMW is open to all women of AUMC, as well as those not affiliated with our church. UMW raises pledges to support local mission needs, as well as needs around the world. We enjoy the opportunity our organization provides to build relationships with women of all ages through member circles which meet at various times.

Quilt and Sew for Others Circle

Description: The Circle’s main goal for this year is to make bright and cheerful pillowcases to give to each of the 130 residents of Oak Park Nursing Home on their birthday. Those who don’t sew are welcome to help cut and press!

Description: Love to read? Join the new UMW Book Club Circle! We will select books from the UMW Reading List and each member will then read the same book during the month and meet back for lively discussions.
The local UMW Book Club Circle's mission will include
1) participation in the UMW Reading Program
2) loaning extra books to other UMW members
3) making recommendations or non-recommendations to other UMW members
4) collecting extra books from other local books clubs and provide the books to Christian Women's Jop Corp participants, other other underserved individuals
