As you therefore have received Christ Jesus the Lord, continue to live your lives in Him, rooted and built up in him and established in the faith, just as you were taught, abounding in thanksgiving.” Colossians 2:6

What are Covenant Groups?
Covenant Groups are small groups of 10-16 adults who commit to grow together spiritually through community and accountability with the commonfoundation of Jesus Christ. The word “covenant” means that we commit as a group to put what we learn about God into practice in our lives as we go through life together.
Covenant Groups meet in the home of one of the members at a time other than Sunday morning, either weekly or bi-weekly, for nine months. If childcare is needed for the members, the group meets at AUMC. Each group has a leader, co-leader and a host, and once registration opens in August 2010 the groups will be formed by the Covenant Planning Team.
Covenant Groups are not closed cliques are designed to divide and multiply to welcome new members. Each group is open for visitors and we encourage group members to develop into leadership positions of new groups.
Why be in a Covenant Group?
Covenant Groups emphasize relational discipleship — real fellowship, meaningful growth, genuine sharing and heartfelt love in a place of safety, confidentiality and encouragement.
What do we do in Covenant Groups?
Members of a Covenant Group care for each other through meaningful relationships, study God’s word together, pray together and serve together.
